Oxymorons

I have seen commercials for AARP all over the airwaves lately. It seems like these folks are very much in business, and not at all retired...why do retired people have an association (corporation)? That doesn't fit my definition of retirement.

I also saw an ad for a product claiming it did a better job than the leading brand? If it's so superior, why isn't it the leading brand? That would lead me to believe it's poor management or poor advertising. If it's the former, I don't want to own stock in the company. If it's the latter, than not only do I not want to own stock, I also am also having the exact opposite reaction to the ad campaign than they desire.
